PW Family House

บ้านพนมวัน:

PW Family House is located and closed to the ancient temple’s context, Prasat Hin Phanomwan, Ban Makha, Khorat- Kon kaen road, Tambon Pho, Amphoe Mueang, Nakhon Ratchasima. It is the must-visit Khmer sanctuary, it is believed that Prasat Phanomwan was built in the 15th Buddhist century and was renovated during 18th and 19th century. The place was the Hindu religion and later became a Buddhist ritual site. Although most of the place was ruined, the main pagoda and a tiered pagoda are still remaining.

The present owners of PW House’s family wished to add a modern life of their activities. So the design is represented the enclosed courtyard of ancient architecture as the space within space, with a leisure area, a swimming pool, and extension to a library in the inner courtyard of the new house, and areas for new young generation.

To cut out the noise from the adjacent road, the main idea is selected to locate the enclosure form of Prasat Hin Phanomwan that is expressed to Triangular Pyramid’s living space as the ‘Guest’ room.
